Datasouth’s commitment to Business Intelligence

Monday, 26 November 2007

Datasouth, with the backing of Microsoft are sending their senior developer to Kuala Lumpur to undergo a week of intensive Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 technical training. PerformancePoint Server is a new product recently released by Microsoft. PerformancePoint Server delivers a broad set of features and functionality to support the diverse performance management needs of today’s fast-paced business environment, including data monitoring, drill down analysis of key performance indicators, and planning and forecasting throughout the enterprise.

As one of only three New Zealand organisations attending the event (and the only one from the South Island) it is clear that Datasouth is fully committed to providing their clients with robust, integrated, extensible business intelligence solutions. At the completion of the course Datasouth will have the capability to fully describe and design PerformancePoint Server architecture, recognise where PerformancePoint Solutions fit into the Microsoft Business Intelligence Solution stack, create end to end planning applications, create end to end performance monitoring and analytics applications and integrate PerformancePoint Server applications with other Business Intelligence technologies.

Business Intelligence is the number one area of focus for CIO’s worldwide. Many organisations have implemented ERP and CRM solutions, however their expectations of access to — and delivery of - business critical information through these systems have in the main not been met. Datasouth has recognised that many organisations lack the ability to get the best out of their business data and for this very reason Datasouth is expanding its expertise and experience to deliver true business intelligence solutions for our clients.
